An with a passion for pink has shared a hilarious hack on how to how to “live with a boy.”
Sharing a space with another person can prove testing, especially if you have different tastes. Sophia Ferrari-Wills, 36, shared a video using a popular sound in social media’s interior corner, where women showcase their pink or traditionally feminine that they share with the opposite sex.
The content creator from Cambridgeshire, in the U.K., shared the video on of her pink palace on May 18. It has amassed 2.2 million views and148,825 likes, leaving viewers in stitches.
Ferrari-Wills (@thiscolourfulnest) told Newsweek: “My tips for the women who don’t share the same taste – it needn’t be a problem, it’s a sharing space after all.
“Simply finding a balance where they get their space and you get yours…and then see how you can work with the colors they do like and offer accents in accessories! Accessories are the best to woo the partner into enjoying a color, or him becoming used to it and then not noticing more creep in.”
The video showcases the mom-of-two daughters’ picture-perfect , featuring a pink staircase and pink floral tiles.
The audio says: “How to live with a boy and still have a very cute apartment.
“Step one, don’t let them bring anything. Literally nothing at all. Step two, don’t let them have a say in anything that you buy. Just get everything and they’ll just see everything once it arrives.”
The cottage looks like it came straight out of a fairy tale, with beautiful pastel bouquets and flowers everywhere and a pink front door.
The entire home is pink, with a pink and lilac kitchen, pink and lilac lounge and pink bathroom.
She added: “I define the style by sticking to soft curves, pastels, florals and anything that feels like it nods towards my youth or playful designs that bring out the inner child! My inspiration has always been from childhood dreams and movies like Wes Anderson! Something out of the ordinary.”
Interior design magazine Houzz says all members of a household should feel incorporated into the home.
Sometimes a creative clash can be fun and espouses personality, interior designer Melisa LaBancz-Bleasdale told Houzz, saying she learned to combine her gothic and vignette aesthetic with her partner’s clean and modern preference.
Sophia’s partner Chris has apparently learned to love pink and even picks out pieces his wife might adore.
“Chris doesn’t react anymore! He’s quietly pleased by the added florals, pastel cushions, girly accessories,” she said. “He’s often the one to find something I may like to add to the space.”
Other interior fans commented on the video and shared their humorous anecdotes on cohabiting with the opposite sex.
User Gerri-Sammut Alessi said: “Andy literally doesn’t even care now, he rarely even notices if something is new!”
Morag Elspeth Atkinson said: “Good tips I lived with 3 boys sadly I didn’t get away with it.”
Hannah shared: “Many try other options, but this is just the easiest way.”
