MADISON HEIGHTS, Va. (WSET) — Some customers of “Today Furniture and Mattress” in Madison Heights are upset after the store abruptly closed.
Some are out thousands of dollars after paying for furniture the store never delivered.
“They’re gone. No phone call. No text. No nothing,” Sue Bolte, an angry customer said.
Bolte and her husband went to pick up a bedroom suite on Saturday, June 1.
But when she arrived, the store in Amelon Square was empty, and their phone was disconnected.
Bolte says she is now out around $2,600.
“If you would like to give me back the money that I gave you because I gave it to you honestly, that’s fine. But if you don’t…” she said.
Another customer named Maggie Britt says she is out $3,000.

“Where’s our stuff? You know? Where is it coming? ‘It’s on a truck, it’s on a truck. I promise, I promise,'” she sid, recounting her conversation with the store. “Money is not always easy to come in, when you have that. We were able to pay it when we could, and now we’re out.”
ABC13 tried to get answers for these customers.
