ORLAND PARK, Ill. — What do you get when you cross furniture fashion and craft beer? Top 100 retailer here has that answer.
The Orland Park, Ill.-based retailer is showcasing its revamped gallery this week with a grand opening celebration, and it will on Friday, June 14, with a special appearance by local craft brewing company, . The event will offer customers a chance to sample some of Hailstorm craft brewery’s culinary gems from their scratch-made kitchen. Customers also will receive an exclusive offer for all Palliser furniture.
“We’ve redone our gallery with Palliser. It is an important partner for Darvin, and events are important for us,” President told Furniture Today. “They’re a fun opportunity to win things and experience what’s new at .”
The Canadian furniture manufacturer’s gallery features an interactive designer that allows customers to design and configure their dream Palliser piece in real-time, including measurements and functionality so they know exactly what they’ll be receiving when their piece arrives.
Harris said Darvin will frequently find local musicians along with catering or food for its events, and it strives to make each one unique. He said Hailstorm made sense this time, and the event is loaded with prizes and incentives from the brewery as well as from Palliser.
“It’s an opportunity to save an additional 10% during the event, and we’ll have some celebrities there and opportunities to win concert tickets and brewery tours as well,” Harris said. “And meet some of the top brass from Palliser, which is one of the most fashion-forward lines we sell. The new gallery looks terrific.”
Harris said the 103-year-old employee-owned company is constantly trying to elevate its customers’ experience, and events go a long way in getting there.
“For Darvin, it’s mega important, keeping our display floor looking fresh,” he said. “It doesn’t matter about the economic environment; we’ve got to include new reasons and fresh reasons for the customer to come in and shop.”
