More than 30 jobs have been saved after a specialist landscaping company was acquired out of administration.
AC Landscapes and Treeworks UK Ltd is based in Devon but operates across the North West, North East, Midlands and South West.
The £4m-turnover business, which was founded in 2007, holds a number of strategic long term frameworks with National Highways, providing vegetarian management, landscaping and arboricultural consultancy services across the UK’s strategic highways and electricity distribution sectors.
Gary Lee and Paul Stanley, based in the Manchester office of recovery specialist Begbies Traynor, were appointed joint administrators of the company last Friday, June 14.
They have now sold the business as a going concern to an unconnected third party, saving 34 jobs, enabling it to fulfil its existing contracts.
Gary Lee said: “We are pleased to confirm the completion of the sale of the business and its assets as a going concern which provides continuity for the customers and all the staff.
“The acquisition is an excellent strategic fit for the purchaser, expanding its existing presence in the strategic highways sector and providing additional capability to support the water sector with the implementation of nature-based solutions.”
