Welcome Mat: Indian Village Home & Garden Tour coming up June 8-9

May 31, 2024
The 48th Annual Indian Village Home & Garden Tour is scheduled June 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 9 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Historic home tour is in its 48th year

Five historic homes — four of which have never been on the tour before — as well as two gardens, a historic bed and breakfast, two churches and a school make up the 48th Annual Indian Village Home & Garden Tour, scheduled June 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 9 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Settled around the turn of the century, Indian Village is one of Detroit’s most elegant and historic neighborhoods, with most homes built between 1895 and 1920. The tour is the second oldest of its kind in Michigan, preceded only by the one in Marshall. Houses are clustered on three streets just east of Belle Isle — Iroquois, Seminole and Burns — between Jefferson and Mack. Tickets are $40 per person and are available on tour days at Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church (8625 E. Jefferson) or in advance. Visit  .
